Kilkee Cliffs
Kilkee Cliffs offer some of the most impressive coastal scenery in Ireland and are located just 5.5km west of Kilkee town in County Clare.
The Kilkee Cliff Walk follows a rugged stretch of coastline, with routes of 5km or a longer 8km loop for those looking for more of a challenge. Starting near Kilkee’s West End, the walk takes in Intrinsic Bay, Foonagh Bay, and panoramic views from Moveen Hill, making it a rewarding experience for walkers of all abilities.
The Pollock Holes
The Pollock Holes in Kilkee are natural Atlantic sea pools and a popular spot for swimming and snorkelling. Sheltered and refreshing, they offer a unique way to enjoy the sea in a striking coastal setting.
Located at Duggerna Reef on Kilkee’s West End, the pools are accessed from the car park beside the Diamond Rocks Café. At low tide, visitors can walk across the flagstones to reach a series of clear-water pools of varying sizes and depths. The name comes from the small pollock fish that inhabit the area during part of the year. Tide times should be checked in advance, and care is advised on wet rock surfaces.

Kilkee Beach
Kilkee Beach is a gently sloping, crescent-shaped stretch of golden sand located in the heart of Kilkee, County Clare. It is a popular destination during the summer months and ideal for swimming, relaxing, and family visits.
The beach features natural rock pools and is close to several scenic cliff walks, while the town’s cafés, restaurants, shops, and public facilities are just steps away. Lifeguards patrol the beach during the bathing season, with safety information displayed on the notice board on-site.
