Kilkee Waterworld CLG has piloted and successfully delivered a dedicated TY IWS-accredited Pool Lifeguard course. This 40-hour programme is scheduled in agreement with the centre and gives students a recognised qualification and practical skills that support seasonal employment opportunities.

Progression pathways

Graduates of the programme can progress into a range of opportunities within the aquatics and water safety sector, including seasonal pool lifeguard roles during the summer months. The course also supports progression into swim instructor training, as well as further development through beach lifeguard training, creating clear pathways for students interested in building skills and gaining experience along the Wild Atlantic Way and coastal environments like Kilkee.

The weather in Ireland in August was unseasonably cold and windy during our visit. This water park have our 2 year old a wonderful fun filled afternoon when the beach was not an option. There is one very fun water slide that she was able to ride with an adult. The wave pool was also a great time for her. The water was a good temperature. One of the best things about this place is that while you're in inside Waterworld, you can look outside the huge glass windows and see the beach.
